I think more often than not, we forget about the importance of omega-3 in our diets. We all want our kids to be as healthy as they can be, and we all put plenty of effort in ensuring our kids get all the vitamins they need. Foods rich in Omega-3 is super important like mackarel, sardines, oily fish and nuts but we should all supplement our diets, especially kids! @eskimo3ireland is a good quality supplement to help the whole family achieve optimal health! If you would like to read more on the benefits of taking omega3s for kids, adults and during pregnancy check out my recent blogpost. I promise you will run to buy it when you realise how important it is. Check the link on my bio to read #ad
Chicken Noodle Soup 🍜 this recipe was created very randomly as I had some chicken in the fridge it had to be used and only had a few veg left in the fridge so I created this soup that was a big hit in the house 🏠 . Ingredients: (4 portions) 2 carrots 🥕 1 Red pepper 1 red onion 1 cup frozen peas 2 packs of noodles 85g each 4 chicken breast 800ml chicken stock Handful of parsley . Method: 1. Chop and sauté all the veggies except for the peas 2. Add the chicken and brown it up a little bit 3. Add the stock and bring it to a boil 4. Add the peas, parsley and season to taste 5. Let it simmer for 20 minutes and then with 2 forks shred al the chicken 6. In a bowl cut the noodles in small pieces (I hate having a fight with the noodles to eat them) Before serving once soup is very hot add the noodles and cook for 5-10 minutes -serve & enjoy- I garnished with red onion, avocado and chilli flakes 👌🏼♥️

HOMEMADE TOMATO 🍅 SAUCE. This sauce is so versatile and it’s very tasty. Usually jars that you buy in supermarkets are full of salt and sometimes sugar. If you want to be healthier you can make your own tomato sauce. Also you can hide as many veggies in it as you like. Is brilliant for those kids that are a bit fussy eaters. Ingredients: 2 carrots 1 celery stick 1 onion 2 garlic cloves You can add courgette, leeks, or even steamed broccoli 🥦 1 jar of passata (or 2 cans of chopped tomatos) Handful of fresh Basil 1 vegetarian stock cube Method: Sauté veggies with some olive oil, add sauce and bring it to the boil. Crumble in the stock, add the basil. Blend to desire consistency. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for no more than 7 days. You can also freeze it. Swipe left to see how you can use it.
