Whole Earth Sweetener Recipes
If you follow me on instagram you might have seen this 2 recipes I posted in collaboration with whole earth sweetener.
So I wanted to talk you through them and let you exactly what this sweetener is about.
We usually get scared when we hear about sweeteners, I think they have had a very bad reputation because of a bad few brands in the market that has the wrong ingredients in them.
But the truth is there is nothing wrong with a sweetener that is responsible made.
The main ingredient in whole earth sweetener is Erythol which is a sugar alcohol. But First, let me explain you about all the different sugar alcohols there is and what they are about.
First of all here are a few popular sugar alcohols you can find in foods and sweeteners: xylitol, maltitol, erythol, glycerol, etc.
Sugar alcohols come from plant products such as fruits and berries. The carbohydrate in these plant products is altered through a chemical process. These sugar substitutes provide somewhat fewer calories than table sugar (sucrose), mainly because they are not well absorbed and may even have a small laxative effect.
Also: Sugar alcohols do not contribute to tooth decay which is brilliant!
Sugar alcohols, with the exception of erythritol, may also cause bloating. And as I said above, that is the main ingredient in whole earth sweetener. And it also contains pure stevia plant extract which it makes it even better.
So if you are looking to add some sweetness into your life without all the added calories. This is a good one to try.
Here are 2 recipes I created using it and they are both delicious. Hope you enjoy them.
