This brownies are so good they taste like crispy salted caramel bites and the best part they don’t need to be baked! They are raw and so delicious!!
They can also be gluten free as you can buy pretzels that are gluten free.
This little bites are brilliant for an after school snack and great for energy before sports!
So we are basically doing 3 layers: the pretzel layer, a salted caramel layer and the chocolate layer. So let’s start:
Ingredients:
For the base:
50g pretzels 🥨
50g oats
1 cup dates (or about 10 medjol dates)
1 cup of any nut butter (I used almond butter)
1 and 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil
2 tablespoons water
For the caramel layer:
1 cup of dates soaked in warm water
80ml of the water that you used to soak them in
1 tablespoons of any nut butter
For the top:
100g dark chocolate (you can also use milk chocolate)
1 tablespoons coconut oil
More pretzels 🥨 to top up
Method:
1. Soak the dates for the caramel on warm water while you do step no.2
2. Blend all the base ingredients and press into a square tin previously lined with grease proof paper
3. Press the base mix into tour mould
4. Blend the caramel ingredients and add it on top of first layer
5. Place into the fridge while you do the third layer
6. Melt the chocolate and the coconut oil in a cup in a hot water bath
7. Add the chocolate layer and place the pretzels as you like
8. Set them in the fridge for at least 30-40 minutes before you slice them and enjoy them
